Before an Article Can Enter Search
Search eligibility comes after factual review and accountable approval.
- Name the reviewer responsible for approval.
- Use official or otherwise reliable sources for factual claims.
- Disclose when automation assists research, formatting, or scheduling.
- Change article dates only after real publication or substantive editing.
Publication rule
Automated checks can reject a weak draft, but they cannot replace editorial judgment.
Who creates the content
Articles are published by the WatchShopping Editorial team. Earlier WatchShopping articles record their original publication date, review date and research sources. A reviewer is accountable for approving new or substantially revised articles for search indexing.
How automation is used
Automation can retrieve material prepared for this site, remove duplicate headings, sanitize HTML, download approved images, check structure and schedule releases. Automated checks do not replace factual review. Imported or generated drafts remain excluded from search indexing until an editor approves them.
Sources and originality
News briefings begin with official manufacturer announcements and link to those sources. Editorial articles must add independent explanation, comparison or practical guidance rather than reproduce a feed, press release or another publisher's wording. Paid placement does not guarantee a link or recommendation.
Quality review before indexing
A page must answer a clear reader need and provide value specific to that subject. Reviewers check factual support, title and heading alignment, useful examples or methods, descriptive link text, and whether the page adds something beyond a reusable template. Thin drafts, keyword-swapped pages and unverified claims remain excluded from search indexing.
Corrections and date changes
Publication and modification dates reflect real publishing or substantive editing events. Dates are not changed merely to make an article appear fresh. Send correction requests with the article URL and supporting evidence to [email protected].
